secretary in general finishes queenstown gray

secretary in general finishes queenstown gray

This gorgeous secretary was left in our hands while our client spent some time in Florida during the cold winter months. It's such a unique piece and we had so much fun collaborating on it. Before pic - "good bones", but no longer fit her decor After visiting her home and chatting awhile, we all agreed that charcoal was the perfect color. One of our favorite grays is General Finishes Queenstown Gray, so we started with that and added some Lamp Black to deepen the shade. We

    bedroom set makeover

We recently finished this custom order for a complete bedroom set makeover and wanted to share. A friend reached out to us that she had several pieces that she wanted to refresh. We got so excited to see this gorgeous antique set! We remembered to take a before picture of one of the pieces :-) Love the curved dressers like this! It was really pretty before, but some of the pieces had damage and she was hoping to give the set a classic black color. One of our favorite blac

    welcome to sweet threepeats

Welcome to the launch of our new website at sweet threepeats. We are a mother/daughter team who began refurbishing furniture as a business back in early 2014. We've been so blessed to have wonderful clients and great friends supporting us along the way. We have a large portfolio for you to br

    custom beachy coral armoire

This piece has had quite the journey....a really neat story behind it - where it came from and where it went. This armoire changed hands several times before it made its way to us and long story short, little did I know that I am friends with the original owner. It was really touching to show her the new life that we gave this piece and to tell her about our wonderful friend who is the new owner. Our client LOVES the beach and wanted something inspired by the ocean. When

desk makeover: general finishes coastal blue

We had a client looking to give her boyfriend a desk as a gift. She was going for a piece that looked "manly" and after several inspiration photos back and forth, she decided on a two-toned paint/stain look. We started with a very ordinary desk, nothing special, but it was solid and had great potential for clean lines. We ended with this handsome piece in General Finishes Coastal Blue Milk Paint and Java Gel Stain. We hope we hit the nail on the head! The top sanded down
before & after: brick red empire dresser

before & after: brick red empire dresser

One of our favorite styles of furniture is the empire and one of our favorite brands of paint is general finishes milk paint. It only seemed natural to put the two together when we found this beauty. I literally could NOT wait to start this one. While out at garage sales, a neighbor saw a picture of this dresser and immediately placed a custom order. After consultation, she selected General Finishes Brick Red with a Java Gel stain top. This is one of my all time favorite
