classy makeover for an antique set

There are always those colors that you just can't wait to get to....I personally couldn't wait to do a dresser in a soft pink, so when a custom order came in for a bedroom set with a mix of black and pink pieces, I was doing a happy dance :-) I wish we had some nice before pictures to share of this one, but we don't, so I will show off all of the pretty "afters".

This soft pink is called "Belle at the Ballet":

I love how our client mixed in some black and used her pink piece as the signature piece. A look at the black chest of drawers done in General Finishes Lamp Black:

A cute little night stand to accompany. This wasn't from the same set, but the curve in the bottom panel coordinated nicely with the serpentine style of the dressers don't you think?

Our client asked for rose gold hardware - this is Rustoleum Antique Rose Gold.

We had to rebuild some of the drawer bottoms, so the wood didn't all match. Simple fix - line the drawers!! It had to be something simple and classy.

We will definitely be doing more pink and black - such a cute and classy combination. I also think this is the perfect shade for a nursery set....So happy to have met some wonderful ladies while doing up these pieces and excited to think our furniture will be helping to make her new apartment home!! A few last looks:
